OOC: a few clarifications!
Hi there, followers! First let me say thank you to everyone for following. I love talking about Zelda, and I especially love OoT/MM Link (I RPed him on Livejournal for over a year) and I really hope you enjoy my silly little Zelda doodles. :3
That being said, I wanted to make a few clarifications regarding my take on Link and a few types of questions I won’t be answering on this ask blog.
- Shipping. I would rather not answer questions like “who do you love?” or “which OoT girl do you have a crush on?” There are a few reasons for this. First is just the fact that the game doesn’t give you any indication that Link is attracted to any of them except for maybe Zelda. Second, everyone has their own preference and head canon related to Link’s sexuality and which girl he ends up with, and I don’t want my preference to clash with anyone else’s. Third, I forsee getting this question so much that I just don’t want to do it in the first place. Now, what IS canon is that many of the girls are clearly attracted to Link, so if you want to ask a question like “How do you plan on dealing with King Zora finding out that Ruto thinks you are engaged to her?” then that would be fine. Also, general questions regarding female characters are obviously okay too (i.e., “What is your impression of Impa?” etc).
- Sheik’s sex and gender. Similar reasons. No one can agree and everyone has their own opinion. I personally have a very strong opinion about this (male sex but female gender!) but I don’t want it to alienate any of you guys. So, please don’t ask questions related to this! All other questions regarding Sheik are fine though, of course. (I may have broken my own rule here with the very first drawing I did for this blog, but I maintain innocence on a technicality since I didn’t draw that in response to a question. XD)
- Games which are not OoT/MM. Link is not aware of any game other than OoT and MM, EXCEPT for the back story provided in TP regarding what happened to Ganondorf after the Hero of Time went back to his own time. So, please limit your questions to the events of OoT, the events of MM, and that Ganondorf was executed in the aftermath of the child ending of OoT. I also won’t be answering any questions regarding other games the Hero of Time may have been in, like Soul Caliber and Super Smash Brothers. (Why? Well, I know nothing about SC and haven’t played a SSB game since the N64 one. These games have entire other canons and fandoms. I’m just not gonna go there when I don’t know anything about either.)
This is just the list for now, but there may be additions as I get more questions and run into trouble. Again, thanks for asking questions and following, and I hope you enjoy this blog ^_^
